Hector worked with a variety of students interested in business. He also served as club advisor to the Management Consulting Club and Actuary Club and helped form a Marketing Association for students. During the association’s first year, they participated in and won the American Marketing Association’s (Minnesota Chapter) case competition. Hector also worked closely with several of St. Olaf’s sports teams as a liaison between athletics and the career center. Before St. Olaf, Hector worked at Indiana University Kokomo as the Assistant Director of Facilities Management. He is originally from El Paso, Texas, and welcomes conversation in English or Spanish and questions about his beloved border community. He currently resides in St. Peter with his family. You might catch him attending various athletics on campus. During his free time, he loves rooting on his kids playing soccer, playing footie (soccer) himself, running around town, and enjoying good food! Aside from his family, his great love is Liverpool FC, and he is happy to talk soccer with anyone who is interested.
Fun fact: He named his son after one of his favorite Liverpool footballers, a legendary Spanish player who dominated for Liverpool, Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich!
